To promote data flow in the Greater Bay Area and accelerate two-way connectivity of administrative services between Guangdong and Hong Kong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office, Digital Policy Office, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Promotion Center of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region jointly organized the “Promoting Data Flow and Cross-border Administrative Services in the Greater Bay Area” Briefing Session on the afternoon of January 15, 2025 (Wednesday) in Guangzhou. The session introduced and promoted several people-friendly and business-beneficial measures to enterprises and residents in the Greater Bay Area with cross-border needs, including the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Mainland, Hong Kong) Personal Information Cross-border Flow Standard Contract”, “Cross-border Easy Access” administrative services, and “iAM Smart+” service.
The meeting included addresses by the Commissioner for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development and the Digital Policy Commissioner.

Enterprises within the Greater Bay Area are actively reshaping data flow dynamics among Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and even globally, ensuring compliance and protecting personal privacy data while conducting business operations. The launch of a specialized version of the Personal Information Cross-border Flow Standard Contract for the Greater Bay Area is a key support for integrated operation and common development, demonstrating the efforts of various government departments in promoting the development of the Greater Bay Area.
It is believed that the development of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in the Greater Bay Area will continue to improve.
